Elena Madariaga

Elena has over 20 years of experience in asset management. She was the General Counsel and Senior Managing Director of UBP Asset Management LLM, a multi-billion dollar asset management firm to a number of fund of funds. Prior to UBP, she was the General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer and Managing Director at Garrison Investment Group where she was responsible for legal matters relating to the structuring and offering of an asset-based investment fund with a focus on middle market including corporate loans, real estate, and financial assets. Prior to that, Elena was the General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer and Managing Director at K2 Advisors, LLC, a fund of funds asset management firm. Elena started her legal career in New York at Cadwalader, Wickersham and Taft where she spent six years in the corporate group. Elena received her law degree (J.D. equivalent) from Universidad Complutense de Madrid (Spain) and holds an LL.M in International Transactions, Corporations, Banking and Corporate Finance from IE University (Spain) and an LL.M. in Banking, Corporate and Finance Law from Fordham Law School.
